Our quality promise

Pure is not a claim.
It is something you can see burn.

Camphor either burns clean or it does not. This page explains exactly what we check before a pack leaves Gorakhpur — and how you can verify it yourself in about thirty seconds.

In plain words

What we promise, and what we refuse

Adulterating camphor is cheap and easy. Refusing to is the whole business.

What every pack gives you

  • A clean blue-white flame that lights on the first touch
  • No black residue left on the thali or the diya
  • No chemical smell underneath the fragrance
  • Full declared weight, checked pack by pack
  • A sealed pack so the aroma survives the journey

What we will not do

  • Mix camphor with chalk, talc or wax to add weight
  • Use synthetic extenders that leave soot behind
  • Mask a weak batch with heavy chemical perfume
  • Ship underweight packs and call it tolerance
  • Release a batch that failed its own burn test

Inside the unit

Five checkpoints, in order

A batch has to clear each one. Failing any single stage sends it back — never forward.

Incoming grading

Each consignment is graded by hand on colour, crystal structure and aroma. Off-grade material is rejected at the gate, not reworked.

The burn test

A sample from every batch is lit and watched. We want a steady blue-white flame, no sputtering, no soot trail and a clean plate afterwards.

Residue check

The test plate is inspected once cool. Pure camphor sublimates completely — visible residue means the batch is held back.

Weight & seal

Packs are weighed and their seals pressure-checked. Camphor escapes through a weak seal, so this stage protects what the earlier ones proved.

Batch coding

Cartons are coded before dispatch, so any pack in the market can be traced back to the day and line that produced it.

If something slips

A genuine complaint gets the batch pulled and checked end to end. That is the point of coding it in the first place.

Don't take our word for it

Three checks you can run in your own kitchen

You do not need a laboratory to tell pure camphor from adulterated camphor. Here is what we do, simplified to what anyone can do at home.

  • The flame test. Light one tablet on a steel plate. It should catch immediately and burn with a calm blue-white flame — not a yellow, smoky, crackling one.
  • The residue test. Let it burn out fully, then look at the plate. Pure camphor leaves nothing but a faint warmth. A greasy film or black ring means fillers.
  • The water test. Drop a tablet into a glass of water. Pure camphor floats and spins gently. Heavy adulterants sink and sit still.

Please be careful. Camphor is flammable. Burn only a single tablet, on a non-flammable plate, away from curtains and loose cloth, and never leave it unattended or within reach of children.

Keeping it fresh

How to store camphor and incense

Camphor sublimates — it turns from solid straight to vapour. Stored badly, a good pack loses weight and aroma on your own shelf.

Keep it closed

Move loose tablets into an airtight container once the pack is opened. An open pouch loses aroma within weeks.

Cool and dark

Store away from direct sun and heat. A cupboard shelf is ideal; a windowsill is the worst place.

Away from damp

Humidity softens agarbatti and dhoop. Keep them off bathroom and kitchen-sink shelves.

Out of reach

Camphor is not edible and is flammable. Store it well out of reach of children and pets.
